Deze Max staat als grote onbekende op foto's, zowel bij Manuels ex als bij zijn vriendinnen. Iedereen kent hem vaag, maar niemand weet wie hij is. Hij volgt Manuel, maar mijdt het persoonlijke contact. Hij gaat iets eerder de hoek van de straat om, staat een stuk verder in een wachtrij, houdt hem van een afstand in de gaten. Hij wordt een obsessie voor Manuel, zeker nadat deze samen met zijn vriend Adriaan, astronoom, ontdekt dat er een verband is tussen Max, vreemde natuurverschijnselen en de kortstondige ontvoering van jonge vrouwen in Breda en op andere plekken op aarde. Hun zoektocht leidt tot verrassende inzichten. Manuel ontmoet Max in een wereld waarin alleen de geestkracht overleeft. Door hem heeft hij een bijzondere ontmoeting met zijn overleden geliefden. Het leven houdt niet op bij de dimensies die wij kennen. Ook onze geestkracht kan op HoRa voortbestaan na de dood. De tegenprestatie van HoRa is dat onze aarde behoed wordt voor een ecologische ondergang.</ins></div></td></tr> </table>
