En toen stortten de dienaren van Bît-Yakin zich als een stortvloed uit de hel op de zwarte priesters, die verlamd van afschuw hadden toegekeken... Conan is de superman en superbarbaar waarin Howard E. Howard c.s. zijn wilde fantasieën projecteerde van dreiging en macht, van eindeloos avontuur en harde strijd, van manmoedige liefde en impulsieve daden, van laffe overvallen en het woord van eer. Conan is de nimmer verslagen maar vaak verwonde krijger uit de Hyperboreaanse tijd, de donkere en opwindende wereld van onze vroegste geschiedenis, waarin hekserij, toverij en bijgeloof, machtige koningen van nu verdwenen rijken vol bizarre en angstaanjagende monsters en schone, wellustige vrouwen de sfeer bepalen.</ins></div></td></tr> </table>
