Zij werkt samen met haar  professor en twee wetenschappelijke assistenten aan een experiment in kunstmatige intelligentie. Het computerprogramma LB heeft het hele oeuvre, de volledige correspondentie en alle andere beschikbare informatie uit het leven van de dichter Byron te slikken gekregen tot in de kleinste details. Bij het samenstellen van het programma is tevens rekening gehouden met zijn temperament en zijn uitgesproken smaak. Zelfs het taalgebruik van de uitdraai is zeer authentiek. Anna valt LB lastig met de meest persoonlijke vragen. Wat deed hij in 1805 in Cambridge? Wie stond er model voor Thyrza in de gelijknamige liefdesgedichten? Wie was zijn ware  liefde? De geheugenchips worstelen met deze vragen, maar LB lijkt niet erg van plan om met een uitdraai van de antwoorden te komen tot er aan de emotionele parameters van LB wordt gesleuteld. Alleen door het afluisteren van LB's gedachtenprocessen komt de lezer achter de verbijsterende waarheid over het kleven van deze legendarische libertijn.</ins></div></td></tr> </table>
